I remember that time I took my wife to the movies. They were showing Bond's latest. I'm not a huge fan but my wife is, so it was her choice (I was able to choose where to eat, thankfully!).

Anyway, we were watching the movie when I heard her sighing. So I turned into her to see that look of 'only-if'. She noticed I was looking at her so she looked at my side then back to the screen, saying:

- No wonder all these girls don't resist him, who can say no to a man with a watch like this?

It took me sometime to realize that she was not admiring the man as much as she was admiring the watch!

After we got home, I googled the movie to find more about the watch. It turned out to be a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner. I was frustrated to know that with the very same price I can move to a new house, buy my wife a nice gift and even go to Hawaii!

So I searched for a more affordable option and I was lucky to find the Rolex Replica. Actually, I couldn't find a significant difference between the Replica and original Rolex, maybe except the 'Submariner' part. You see, the catch about the genuine Rolex Submariner is that you can go diving up to 1,000 feet with it. As for the Replica, as I was told by through the manual, it can't handle such pressure. But I thought who cares? I've never gone diving and if I ever consider it I will just take off my watch!

Eventually I ordered it online and few days later I received a classy stainless steel case. I preferred this to another gold option available, yet both of them resist corrosion as mentioned on the web.

Opening the case, I started checking my new watch. The bezel is a single-directional and can be used to check the duration of any activity. I found no need to do any vigorous hand movements to get the watch into action; it uses your usual movements to generate its power.

I did a little comparison of the outer shape to an original's photo I found online, I found them quite similar. The 'Mercedes' hands, Submariner's stamp of fame, glow in the darkness and the logo is on its place.

For perfect finishing, I bought a new suite and a matching tie (tried to simulate the Bond style as much as I could) and surprised my wife with the new look next time we went to the movies!
